Our story
More than two decades of care
OncoCare Specialist Oncologists has been providing comprehensive cancer care in KwaZulu-Natal since 2002, when the practice was established by Dr Rory Callaghan.
Over more than two decades, OncoCare has grown into a multidisciplinary oncology practice with established centres in Berea, Umhlanga, Hillcrest, Ballito and Westville, together with consulting services across the greater Durban region.
Our specialist oncology team comprises Dr Leon Marais, Dr Neil Narsai, Dr Poovan Govender, Dr Ria David, Dr Thobile Goba and Dr Presha Bipath, with Dr Louise Walker supporting the practice as a locum oncologist.

Our treatment approach incorporates modern radiotherapy techniques, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, hormonal therapy and precision oncology where appropriate, guided by current clinical evidence and international treatment standards.

Cancer care is increasingly complex, and we believe strongly in a multidisciplinary approach. We work closely with surgeons, physicians, radiologists, pathologists and other specialists to ensure that treatment decisions are individualised and carefully coordinated.
With oncology services available across multiple locations, our aim is to provide high-quality specialist care as close to home as possible, while maintaining continuity throughout each patient's treatment journey.
