Founded in 2002, OncoCare has grown into a multidisciplinary oncology practice with centres in Berea, Umhlanga, Hillcrest, Ballito and Westville — offering compassionate, personalised care throughout every stage of the cancer journey. We also offer consulting services at Mediclinic Victoria Hospital, Life Westville Hospital and Lenmed eThekwini Hospital and Heart Centre.

Oncology is the branch of medicine dedicated to cancer diagnosis and treatment. As a patient at OncoCare, you will have most of your treatment at one of our five practices in Durban (Berea), Umhlanga, Hillcrest, Westville or Ballito. We tailor your care to your specific needs, depending on the type of cancer you have.

Our team is available 24/7 to support you on your treatment journey. We ensure that we provide you with a safety net to negotiate treatment-related side effects. Your health is our priority.
24-hour support is a telephone support service — it does not mean our centres are open 24 hours. Centres are open 07:00–16:00, Monday to Friday (closed weekends); after hours your call goes to the doctor on call.
Oncology is a rapidly evolving field. Our team of specialists keep abreast of current trends in oncology by attending workshops and conferences. As respected opinion leaders, they are also called upon to chair and present at national meetings.
OncoCare makes use of specialist teams for challenging cases. Your case may be discussed with other specialist disciplines to ensure a holistic treatment approach, incorporating cutting-edge medicine.
All our centres have in-house consulting and chemotherapy suites. Our centres are also designed to offer radiology and laboratory-based services, either in the building or within close proximity. Radiotherapy units are housed at the Durban and Umhlanga centres.
We don't just focus on the disease, we focus on YOU. Some of our centres have in-house dieticians and psychologists to ensure that your emotional and nutritional health are also well managed.
