Dr Leon Marais

A community-based Clinical Oncologist, Dr Leon Marais was raised in Durban, in the Highway area. He received his medical training in Bloemfontein, returning to KZN to work at a variety of Provincial Hospitals before going back to Bloemfontein to specialise.

Dr Marais qualified as an Oncologist in 2010 and started working as a consultant at Greys Hospital before going into private practice in 2011. He strongly believes in evidence-based medicine, matching the needs of the patient with the most appropriate available treatment in a comforting manner that involves and informs the patient.
